Summer Trip to Oregon

Summer in Oregon

For this years end of summer trip we chose to head up north to Portland, Oregon. We did a variety of activities, had good food, and lots of rest and relaxation. My sister really wanted to find an awesome trail to hike because Oregon is beautiful. Three of our days here consisted on finding the perfect hike. Our first two days we tried finding trails on our own and using google maps, but we failed. Our third day we decided to be very touristy and chose to hike the trail up on Multnomah Falls. It was a two mile hike up to the waterfall. We went around 10am which was perfect because we caught the gloomy part of the day so it was much cooler versus the afternoon.

We had brunch at this small in a restaurant called the Little Griddle and it was amazing. If you visit you need to try the biscuits! Another great food option in Portland was Stella's Taco's. They are a Texan style Taco very different from here in there Bay Area, but they tasted a lot better than I had expected.

Our next stop was the Japanese Garden and if there one thing everyone says to do is visit this serene garden. We went in the afternoon and it was a little humid, but not too bad. The staff were very polite and the Cafe at the garden is very quant and aesthetically pleasing. The onsite gift shop is also very fun to look around and shop at.

Overall even though we only spent a short amount of time in Oregon it was well spent and would definitely go back and visit or even maybe live there.
